There is a public meeting Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. to hear more about starting a hazardous waste disposal program in Homewood. Here’s the information from the Homewood Environmental Commission chairwoman, Suzanne Martin:
Please mark your calendar and set aside the time to attend a very special meeting on Tuesday, August 13 at 7 p.m., in the SoHo municipal building (second floor).
We have invited two individuals from Clean Harbors Environmental Services Inc. (www.cleanharbors.com) to present information about Hazardous Materials Waste recycling programs. They will offer an overview of what they have done in other cities and then open the floor to questions.
This meeting will be held in the council chambers. We have plenty of room for City Council, City staff and Homewood residents to attend and learn alongside the environmental commission. Please join me in inviting others to attend.
Hope to see you there,
